Players may recognize Joel Gola (Philadelphia, PA) even if they haven't played poker with him (if they are locals). Gola is one of the most well known jewelers in the Philly area, and can be seen in local commercials and plastered on the sides of busses. He was primarily a cash game player, and would regularly be seen in the 10/10 NL game.
Joel saw some success earlier in the year during the Borgata Summer Poker Open, making the final table of the championship event and taking home close to $50,000. Since registering late, Joel has already built his stack up to 150,000.
